Date: Revised 2019
A short but varied, setting of the Lord's Prayer for accompanied or unaccompanied SATB choir. After an initial energetic section in which the choir bursts in with its upward invocation to God, there is a central section expressing weariness and hunger for "our daily bread". This leads to a more intensely prayerful section in which the drama of being "delivered from evil" unfolds. The anthem finishes with a return to the original theme, but now expressing confident praise of God, and it ends with a repeated, exuberant "Amen".

Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
